This year we spent the 4th in Island Park with Tiffany, Lindsey and their families and my parents at their cabin which always makes for good times. We had alot of fun swimming at my dads boat dock and watching the fireworks from there as well. My dad took the boys out for a ride on the boat when we first got there and ran into some problems which ended up needing Kaleb to tow them in with his jet ski !!!
This is them after a safe rescue.... my dad was not the happiest since this ment no fishing on Henerys Lake the next morning !!!
The next day we were all hanging out at the cabin and Lindseys boys noticed a bat that had flew in on the porch and rested nicely behind the shutters...well that was not going to last with girls in camp so the guys set out to get rid of it !!! They did have a good plan to scare it out one side and catch it in a fishing net on the other side...well all went as planned until I wanted a picture of the event and Gary opened the net...the dang thing flew out...and chased me across the deck...me sreaming the whole way...the guys were laughing so hard they wished they had the camera because the best pictures would have been of me freaking out !!! Well the bat ended up "resting" in a shutter on the other side of the cabin...until they once again scared it out...this time to only be thrown aganist the shed and killed !!! Thank heavens...now the shutters are going to be filled with foam so they can no longer "rest" there !!!
Catch that dang thing will you....We also went swimming at my dads boat dock...much more peaceful when your with mom...Gary thinks if you say you want to swim...get in and swim...so when we got down there and the girls weren't getting in...he threw them in !!!
On the 4th they let off fireworks on the lake that we watched from the dock...it was alot of fun something I have never done before. They start out with a boat parade where anyone can decorate boats and drive up the river to show everyone...after the parade the fireworks begin...it was really neat to see them with all the boats in the lake with their lights on...there had to be at least 150 boats. The fireworks were fun to watch as well. Here are some pictures of use waiting for the fireworks.
On Saturday we went to Mesa Falls for the 5th time !!! I didn't mind because it is beautiful there and even though we have been there that many times it is the first time for Lindsey and her family and LOGAN...yes hard to believe we have been there that many times and never taken Logan...he has always been at scout camp or football camp.(Pay no attention to his FAVORITE shirt !!!). When we got there Abby was a little "p" off she had to go there again...she said fine I will go and walk down all those stairs but im not going to take pictures AGAIN...so I took one of Logan by himself. Sad to say but yes the little princess does control everything...she is like the man behind the curtain...but we do have to pay attention to her...otherwise life is MISERABLE !!!

Looks like so much fun. I have been trying to figure out where the cabin is?? We may have to try out IP one of these years for the 4th.
This trip was so much fun with the family. you and the girls were a lot of help thanks for making it fun for us too.
Good times! I love all of the pictures. Everyone looks so cute and they look like they had a lot of fun. Well except for the boat breaking down. I'm surprised to see people got in the water. Isn't it kind of growdy?
